We've also selected one of the industry's finest gas-powered coaches, the Terra. Nearly 36 feet long, this bus-type luxury model features two big slides, a side entry with automatic steps, handsome full-body paint, automatic transmission, a powerful Onan Quiet generator and much, much more.
The LX coach sleeps six. Two in the rear queen on a firm foam mattress, two on a comfy fold-out sofa (with a Sleep Number-type mattress!), and two smaller folks on the convertible bench dinette. There are six seat belts. Two huge slides give travelers added comfort when you're reached your destination! A perfect "in between" coach which has all the comforts of the largest Class A but more of the economy and ease of operation of the smaller Class C.
Features include a recliner, HDTV television, DVD, AM/FM/CD player, color GPS, backup camera, trip computer, cruise control, recline & swivel captains chairs, numerous closets, bedroom vanity, generous lighting, warm carpets, day/night shades, a large separate bathroom complete with a shower and tub(!!), and much more.

We sought out this particular coach for its fuel efficiency, famous Fleetwood quality, two huge slide out rooms and nimble driving so we can enjoy our wildly twisting, very challenging coastal roads such as US Hwy One. Click here to download our Terra LX brochure, and read more about it below.
The advantage of the Terra...the reason we were first attracted to this, is the ability to utilize "greener" ethanol fuel blends. Also important is the solid fuel economy of the coach! Keeping the speed down, experienced owners been averaging between 9-12 miles per gallon of gasoline, and this has made RV travel practical again for us. Those big bus RVs you see on the road get
between only 5-7 MPG so driving our Terra makes sense. Besides, we need to remind ourselves that we don't drive tens of thousands of miles each year. The average RV'er only drives around 5,000 miles or so, so fuel economy is a concern, but a couple miles a gallon one way or the other isn't a deal breaker. Happily, gasoline is usually less expensive than diesel and universally available. The coach has an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission with engine brake, and controls almost identical to your passenger car!
Another advantage touched on above has been the unit's nimble driving...better than the larger, 40' coaches for the twisting, turning Oregon coastal roads as well as the countless small, inviting campgrounds offered by the National Park Service, the US Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management...places we could never hope to get a larger coach into yet we can enjoy to the fullest and in superb comfort.
Our Terra rents for $245-325 per day, less on certain occasions and $325-350 for holidays such as July 4, Memorial Day and Labor Day. We are happy to discount for longer rentals. NASCAR events are welcome, but there is a higher $1500 security deposit and often, special pricing.
Our coaches each have a 5.5KW generator delivering ample electrical power (for the television, microwave, hair dryer, air conditioners) whenever you're not plugged in. Even without the generator, you have power for water pump, lights, 12v. outlets and. There is full air conditioned comfort! Your entertainment is provided by a flat screen TV, an HDTV in the bedroom and DVD recorder/player, plus a AM/FM/CD/MP3 player on the dash and in the cabin a BOSE AM/FM/Aux player...super quality! The coach televisions have been upgraded for digital broadcast reception. There is a small inverter to power your laptop using the 12v outlets, and plenty of outlets to charge your cell phone and PDA.
Some of the extras we've positioned include a great multifunction copier/printer, a Keurig pod coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, french press coffee maker, new pots and pans, DVD collection, wireless weather station with atomic clock, color GPS with MP3 player, books, maps, binoculars, digital camera (in case you forgot yours,) new glassware, new sleeper sofa and mattress (the LX manufacturer's sofa would not be comfortable for two so we replaced on September 10, an hour after we took delivery of the coach!) new dishes and new linens...all installed in July 2010 for your (and our) traveling comfort!
All the essential features of the largest coaches and even more...but not as much size so you can enjoy driving our Oregon coast roads. Great fun to drive! Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Above....October 5 at Lone Pine, CA.
We have optionally available an iMac 24 for $100 per day, an LCD video projector for $125 per day, a Day-Lite presentation screen for $25 a day, and other business items. If you need them, you're welcome to borrow at no cost our 5-gallon water jugs, our 5-gallon gas can, playing cards, board games, rice cooker, bread machine, Crock Pot, iron & ironing board, extra television or DVD player, a blue dump tank, MP3 player, CDs, local guide books, a bike rack for the rear ladder...anything we have in the house you're welcome to use.
